Today I buy the piece that fits like it was made for me.
Leather rewards a considered fit. Too tight and it fights you; too loose and it loses its line. Here's how to choose with confidence.
Start with your measurements, not your usual size. Take a soft tape to the fullest part of your bust and the narrowest part of your waist, over a light top. Compare those numbers to the size chart on each product page — leather cuts run truer to the body than jersey.
Think about the layer underneath. A perfecto worn over a silk cami wants a closer fit; one you'll wear over a fine knit wants a touch more room. Decide how you'll wear it most, and size for that.
Mind the shoulders. The shoulder seam should sit where your shoulder ends. Sleeves and body can be adjusted by a tailor; shoulders rarely can. If the shoulder is right, the jacket is right.
Remember lambskin gives, a little. Supple plongé lambskin softens and moulds to you with wear. It won't stretch a size — but a fit that's snug on day one becomes second-skin comfortable.
Still unsure? Sit between two sizes? For a structured perfecto, size down for a sharp line; for a relaxed or oversized cut, size up for ease.
And should it not be right, our 14-day returns make it simple to try again.
